Photos from Seance

I finally made my way back into The Belfry just before my show came down to snap some shots of the work on the walls. There are a couple of blurry images, so please forgive me. It seems the camera I was using is a trickster, lulling me into a false sense of sharpness and clarity.
After an amazing trip for a behind the scenes tour at the Burke Museum, I picked up the remaining pieces from the show.
And as an added bonus, this little guy.

We're the best of friends.

Bats in the Belfry.

I'm happy to announce that I will be doing a small solo show at The Belfry in February 2013!
To all Seattle people and to those who may find themselves in the area, I recommend stopping by and taking a peek. It is an absolutely gorgeous display of the strange and beautiful.

Ever-sketch

Not much painting has been done since July. Summers are usually filled with trips, house projects, friends and long days out and about.  That said, sketching always happens. Without it, I'm afraid my brain would explode.

There has also been a big clean-out and re-organization of my little dungeon of a studio.
It's difficult for me to work in a messy space for some reason.

I'm still obsessed with masks from Bali and strange asian monsters

Little  experiments with the mountains of kraft paper scrap I have access to.

I'll have a small piece in a group show up on Capitol Hill in Seattle at Joe Bar. Opens October 11th.

Hi-Fructose magazine has posted images from the upcoming "Death and the Maiden" show at Roq la Rue that I will have a piece in. There are some stellar pieces in the show! Here's the piece from one of my all-time favorite artists, Femke Hiemstra.
" La Mort En Cadence "

You can check out the rest of the work in the show on Hi-Fructose.
Don't forget to check out the Roq La Rue Gallery as well!

Stuntkid and Friends Show

Stuntkid and Friends opened this past saturday at ArtGallery in Norfolk, VA. I'm a bit disapointed that I couldn't make it out, but from the photos I've seen, it looks like quite a few people did. The show runs until August 27th. I highly suggest checking it out if you're in the area.

Friends of Stuntkid

Sent off my pieces last week to Norfolk for an upcoming show at  ArtGallery.  It looks like a blurb is up on HamptonRoads about the show as well.

"Uitbarsting" and "Smoke Breather."
Been feeling a bit lazy in the brain lately - This usually occurs after I finish a piece. Re-adjusting and arranging ideas. Time to get back to work.
