Conjuring ideas...
Working on ideas for my upcoming show in February. Animals and spirits, ghosts and nature. Building my own occult symbols... a magick of my very own.
Skulls and bones, smoke and ectoplasm.

Bats in the Belfry.
To all Seattle people and to those who may find themselves in the area, I recommend stopping by and taking a peek. It is an absolutely gorgeous display of the strange and beautiful.

Ever-sketch
Not much painting has been done since July. Summers are usually filled with trips, house projects, friends and long days out and about. That said, sketching always happens. Without it, I'm afraid my brain would explode.
There has also been a big clean-out and re-organization of my little dungeon of a studio.
It's difficult for me to work in a messy space for some reason.
I'm still obsessed with masks from Bali and strange asian monsters.
Little experiments with the mountains of kraft paper scrap I have access to.
I'll have a small piece in a group show up on Capitol Hill in Seattle at Joe Bar. Opens October 11th.

The Great West Coast Migration
Working on a piece for The Great West Coast Migration
A benefit for sharks and the oceans.
I have been fascinated by sharks ever since I was a child, so it seems fitting that I have an opportunity to help out in some small way.

Dead Men's Tales - Derek Nobbs
If you haven't heard of or seen the works of Derek Nobbs, I encourage you to take a look at what he has been up to lately. A man of many talents, he has been honing his craft over the many years that I've had the pleasure of knowing him. His upcoming solo exhibition, " Dead Men's Tales," is a culmination of hard work and pure talent that will suprise, enchant and intrigue. Imagery laden with environmental and historical themes flow throughout his body of work, leaving the viewer peeling away at the layers of the story behind the painting.
The exhibition opens this Friday, May 11th at Roq La Rue Gallery in Seattle.
